As we begin the new year, we’re already looking forward to the 2017 Kentucky Classic CDE! The event will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park, October 5-8. We are home to the 2017 National Singles Combined Driving Championship. We’ll be bringing you more on the contenders for the title as we get closer to the event.
Online entries are being accepted at DrivingEntries.com.
The Kentucky Classic CDE began in 2011 and has been contested each year since, on the grounds of the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park, just north of Lexington, Kentucky. In that first year, the event was honored to use the marathon obstacles that had been designed and built the year before, for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (although they were, of course, decorated differently in 2011).
The marathon at each year’s Kentucky Classic incorporates a few of those same obstacles, but it also includes several specially built obstacles near the event’s beautiful grass arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
The event has a long history of hosting championship events –
- 2015 USEF National Four-in-Hand Championship
- 2014 USEF National Championships for Pairs and for Ponies
- 2013 USEF National Championships for Singles and Four-in-Hand
- USEF National Pony Driving Championships (for Singles, Pairs, and Four-in-Hand Teams)
